AI has taken a lot of the joy and satisfaction out of tech. The article follows an engineer who messaged Shubs, and how Shubs responded to them. I feel a lot of these things: from not being as technically deep, to not feeling connected to folks at work.

Shubs gets around the technically deep by trying to understand AI better than other people. This is tiring because it's constantly changing but it's also fun to be on the cutting edge. In a way, we're all middle-managers just managing the agents doing their jobs.

The goal should be to solve problems that are more difficult than before instead of dealing with the old ones. A good post on the reality of how most people are feeling.
